
Chapter Director: Stefanie Freatman
Stefanie graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Legal Studies. During her time in college she interned in the WA State Senate and has worked in politics in one aspect or another ever since. From 2004-2006 she served as the Director of Legislation for the Community Colleges of Spokane – her home town – and continues to lobby the state legislature for better higher education funding. Stefanie has also worked as a Senate legislative aide for several state Senators and has managed numerous state-wide progessive initiative campaigns. In the fall of 2008 she plans to attend Seattle University with the goal of achieving her Masters in Public Administration. On a more personal note, Stefanie currently lives in Seattle, WA and in her free time enjoys traveling, learning to play her electric guitar, reading, and gardening.
Communications Director: Elizabeth Lamb-Ferro
Liz Lamb-Ferro, a native of Spokane, is a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University with degrees in Political Science and English. She has served as an intern at the Office of the Mayor of Spokane and the Washington State House of Representatives. Liz has also worked as a freelance journalist covering the World Trade Organization and United Nations in Geneva. Currently, she is working as the Communications Manager for the American Cancer Society offices in western Washington and Alaska. Liz enjoys baking, rollerblading, and avoiding housework at her residence in Federal Way.
Finance Director: Jen Drake
Jen Drake of Puyallup, WA graduated in 2007 with a major in history and a minor in English, with an emphasis in economics. In 2005 she founded an Amnesty International chapter, coordinating a Teach-In series on the genocide in Darfur, and met with Senators Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray about the genocide; in 2007 she and her team raised $60,000 to buy a home for girls being groomed for prostitution in Calcutta, India. She also hosted a Vagina Monologues and V-Day party, and for Women’s History Month showed “Iron Jawed Angels”, providing a historical sketch of the suffrage movement. She currently supports Women for Women International (www.womenforwomen.org), which helps women in war regions by providing financial and emotional support. She is also a Southern Poverty Law Center member (www.splcenter.org), educating people on discrimination and working to protect the most vulnerable. In 2006 she was a Senate intern in Olympia and returned again in 2008 as a Senate Session Aide. Currently, she is starting up Puyallup’s first Community Garden and volunteers as a grant writer for the Pierce County Center for Dispute Resolution.

Membership and Outreach Director: Olita Bracking
Olita graduated from the University of Washington with a BA in Law, Societies and Justice and a minor in Human Rights. Previously, she worked at the House of Representatives for the Early Learning and Children's Services Committee. She also helped to successfully elect Sherry Carr to the Seattle School Board in 2007. Olita loves to travel and experience different cultures. She has lived in Siena, Italy, and has explored Europe and visited China. She is an avid runner and participates in half marathons, and she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and dog, Einstein.
