Jeniffer Betts, Chapter Director 

Jeni graduated from The University of Northern Iowa in 2003 with a B.A. in Vocal Music.  During college she spent time studying music and language abroad in Italy. After graduation she lived and worked in New York City for two years.  Since returning to Iowa in 2006, she has been studying for a second degree in Public Administration.  When she’s not in class, you’ll find her working full-time as an office manager for a local business.  Jeni enjoys volunteering and has worked for various community groups including the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Iowa.  In her spare time she enjoys: traveling, classical music, boating, and playing with her nieces.  Jeni lives in Cedar Falls, Iowa with her husband Hassan and their puppy Hope. 

Melissa Brown, Public Relations Director

Melissa graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2004 with a B.M. in Vocal Performance.  She works for Kaplan University in the admission department, along with  finishing her Masters of Music from
the University of Northern Iowa.  In her spare time she enjoys reading, music, cooking, outdoor pursuits, and traveling.  Melissa has been involved with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northest Iowa, and is passionate about education, the arts, and cultural diversity.
