YWTF Chicago Spring Educational Event!
Eating Well on a Budget:  From Nutrition Labels to the Checkout Line! 
The event featured a nutritional session with Angeline Widmer, Holistic Health Counselor and a healthy habits presentation with Nina Aronson from Soulistic Yoga Studio and Spa!  We learned about eating healthy on a budget and learned tips to stay lean and combat stress in the cubicle with Pilates.  Angeline Widmer's information can be found online at www.angelinewidmer.com.

Volunteer Event -- a partnership with Prison Fellowship Ministries
YWTF Chicago supported Angel Tree's annual 2008 Toy Distribution at Prison Fellowship Ministries. This event provides gifts and a fun time to children of incarcerated parents.  The Toy Distribution will take place from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 13 at 815 N. LaSalle Street. Volunteer opportunities include set up on Friday evening, set up on Saturday, help at the actual event with games, face-painting, and toy distribution, and clean up on Sunday afternoon.

Voter Education Event!
The end of Labor Day weekend may strike fear in your heart. No matter how much you love a crisp breeze or football season, fall clothes shopping or Halloween candy, we all know winter is just around the corner.  However, there is one thing to be excited about: ELECTION SEASON! With the Democrats' convention over and the Republicans starting theirs, who can forget that elections are coming up? We at YWTF are thrilled to be hosting a Voter Education Event this month and hope to see you all there! There will be a panel discussion with the candidates hosted by Silvia Rivera of Radio Arte and followed by a reception where you can eat, drink, and meet the candidates personally.
